Finotive Funding is excited to announce a significant update to their risk management protocol, a direct result of the invaluable feedback received from their trading community. In a strategic move to simplify and enhance risk management, Finotive Funding has merged three risk rules into a singular, comprehensive Total Risk Rule. This consolidation is designed to streamline the trading process, enabling traders to better assess and manage their risk exposure while retaining flexibility in their trading strategies.

Introducing the Total Risk Rule
The prop firm has revised its risk management framework to introduce a more intuitive guideline that balances freedom and responsibility in trading. Effective from the Daily reset at 23:00 CET on August 12, 2024, the Total Risk Rule stipulates that the total risk on open positions cannot exceed a specific percentage of the previous Trading Day’s closing balance, tailored to each account type:
- 1-Step Challenge: 4% of the previous day’s closing balance
- 2-Step Challenge: 5% of the previous day’s closing balance
- Instant Funding: 2.5% of the previous day’s closing balance
- Instant Funding Aggressive: 5% of the previous day’s closing balance
This innovative rule adjustment not only offers traders greater leeway in managing drawdowns but also ensures that risk limits dynamically adjust with daily balance fluctuations. Such changes are aimed at enriching the trading experience while emphasizing the importance of disciplined and responsible trading.
