SurgeTrader, a prominent prop trading firm, has unveiled significant updates to its platform, specifically impacting traders based in the United States. In a recent development, MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 platforms have become unavailable for U.S. traders engaged in Surge Trader Auditions or managing Virtually Funded Accounts. This change necessitates an immediate shift to alternative trading technologies for affected users.
Introduction of New Technology & DXtrade
In response to these changes, SurgeTrader is rolling out new technological solutions for U.S. traders, with DXtrade earmarked as the new platform of choice. This move is aimed at minimizing disruption to traders’ activities, with the platform expected to be fully operational shortly. The introduction of DXtrade signifies the firm’s commitment to providing seamless trading experiences, even in the face of unexpected challenges.
Guidelines for International Traders
For traders located outside the United States, the transition will have no effect on their trading operations. Access to MetaTrader 4 and 5 remains uninterrupted, and the process for purchasing new auditions continues as usual, ensuring a stable trading environment for the global clientele.
Instructions for U.S. Traders
U.S. traders, identified through their U.S. IP or billing addresses, must close all open trades by 4 pm EST on March 23rd. Any positions left open beyond this deadline will be automatically closed. During the migration, there will be a temporary restriction on account access, with the transition anticipated to conclude by March 5th. SurgeTrader guarantees that the final balances of current accounts will be reflected on the new platform, with trading history and metrics still accessible via the dashboard.
Migration Period & Account Setup Pause
To ensure a smooth transition, the setup of new U.S. accounts will be temporarily suspended until the completion of the platform upgrade. SurgeTrader will communicate the resumption of new U.S. trading evaluations through email, maintaining transparency and support throughout the migration process.
Payout Requests and Account Balances
During this period, all payout requests from U.S. Traders will be reversed, with funds being returned to their platform accounts. This step is crucial to guarantee that the account balances on the new platform are accurate and up-to-date.
Continued Communication
SurgeTrader is committed to keeping traders informed every step of the way. Traders are advised to stay alert for email notifications and dashboard updates regarding new platform credentials and other important developments, ensuring a seamless transition to DXtrade.
